The host of Radio Avala is Aleksandar Zigic. He has hosted various radio and TV programs in Europe and the U.S. Aleksandar first became well known to the audiences in southeastern Europe in 1982, when he hosted the popular top 20 countdown show, Hit of the Month. He was also a producer and host of Radio Index 202, which TIME magazine called "the hottest show in Eastern Europe". He has worked as a producer / writer at CNN's global headquarters in Atlanta for more than five years. He has also worked as a news writer at CBS, NBC and FOX in Chicago as well as C-SPAN in Washington, DC.
